Aftersell prices on every order you take, not the ones it touches.
Aftersell is billed on your store's total order volume over the last 30 days, and checkout customisation is a separate product line on top. This page sets out the published bands, what is missing from them, and what a Shopify Plus merchant actually pays.
Total store orders in the last 30 days
Your tier is set by every order your store takes, not by the orders Aftersell influenced. So a month where the app converts nothing still moves you up a band if your store grew. On top of that, Aftersell is sold as separate lines rather than one plan: the post-purchase plan is the one with the published ladder, checkout customisation is priced separately and is Shopify Plus only, and the cart drawer is a third line through Rokt UpCart. Rokt Thanks runs the other way, paying you per order and crediting it against your bill.
Post-purchase plan, published bands
Their listing publishes three bands and their FAQ gives three worked examples. Nothing is published between 2,000 and 10,000 orders, so this page shows no price at 5,000 rather than interpolating one. Free trial is 30 days, which is longer than ours.
Separate lines, billed on top
Shopify Plus only, and the only way to get Aftersell inside Shopify checkout. Listed as $99/mo for 200 monthly order volume, so it scales on volume too. No ladder is published above that.
A third line. Requires installing Rokt UpCart alongside Aftersell.
Earns $0.30 to $0.80 per order and credits it dollar for dollar against your Aftersell subscription. At enough volume it covers the post-purchase plan outright.
No commission and no platform fee. The cost model is the stack, not a percentage.
Total monthly cost, post-purchase plan
Against Growth at $99.99 flat. This compares the post-purchase plan alone, because it is the only Aftersell line with a published ladder. Checkout customisation from $99 sits on top of every row.
Add checkout customisation and every row above shifts by at least $99. At 500 orders that makes the real Plus comparison $133.99 against $99.99, and Growth is cheaper from the first row.
On the post-purchase plan by itself, the two prices meet exactly at 2,000 orders and Aftersell is cheaper below that. The moment you need Aftersell inside Shopify checkout, which on Plus means adding checkout customisation from $99, break-even drops to roughly 500 orders and Growth is cheaper from there up. Which number applies to you depends on whether you need checkout at all.
Where Aftersell wins
Recent Plus upgraders can get checkout free
Rokt offers merchants who have recently moved to Shopify Plus free lifetime access to Aftersell's checkout functionality, valued by the vendor at $1,200 a year. Terms apply. For those merchants the $99 line is nil and the pricing argument on this page does not apply. Our answer for the same merchants is a 60-day free trial with onboarding and strategy.
Rokt Thanks can pay the bill
At $0.30 to $0.80 per order credited against the subscription, a high-volume store can run the post-purchase plan at close to no net cost. No flat-rate app can match zero.
A longer trial and a deeper post-purchase product
30 days free against our 14, and a post-purchase and thank-you-page product that has been their focus for years. If post-purchase is the only surface you care about, they are a serious answer.
Aftersell pricing, answered.
How much does Aftersell cost per month?
The post-purchase plan is $34.99 up to 500 orders, $54.99 up to 1,000, and $99.99 up to 2,000. Their FAQ gives $329.99 at 10,000 orders and $799.99 at 100,000. Checkout customisation is a separate line from $99, Shopify Plus only, and the Rokt UpCart cart drawer is another from $34.99.
What does Aftersell pricing scale on?
Your store's total order volume over the last 30 days, counting every order rather than only the orders the app influenced. Growing your store raises your Aftersell bill whether or not the app contributed to that growth.
Is Aftersell's checkout upsell included in the price?
No. Checkout customisation is a separate product line starting at $99/mo and it requires Shopify Plus. It is listed as $99/mo for 200 monthly order volume, so it scales on volume as well, and no ladder above that is published. On Checkout Components, checkout upsells are included in Growth at $99.99/mo.
Does Aftersell charge a commission on upsell revenue?
No. There is no commission and no platform fee. The cost comes from the volume bands and from stacking separate product lines.
When does Checkout Components work out cheaper than Aftersell?
At 2,000 orders the post-purchase plan and Growth are both $99.99, and below that Aftersell is cheaper. If you need Aftersell inside Shopify checkout, add checkout customisation from $99 and Growth is cheaper from around 500 orders up. At 10,000 orders the post-purchase plan alone is $329.99 against our flat $99.99.
Who owns Aftersell now?
Rokt. The app is developed by Rokt and branded Aftersell, and Rokt products sit alongside it: Rokt UpCart for the cart drawer and Rokt Thanks for paid post-purchase offers. Checkout Components is independent.
Every Aftersell figure on this page was read from the sources below on the date shown, and none of it is estimated. Where they publish no price, this page says so instead of filling the gap. We re-check these quarterly, and vendors change pricing without notice: if you spot a figure that has moved, tell us and we will correct it.
We rebuild your funnels before you cancel anything.
Parity audit of your current setup, then a free rebuild of your funnels while Aftersell keeps serving. Both apps run side by side on your own traffic for 2 weeks, and you sign a checklist before anything gets cancelled. Anything we have not matched, we build.
