Upsell.com bills on whichever is higher. That is the catch.
Upsell.com prices on your monthly store orders or the upsell revenue their app generates, whichever of the two is larger. So a good month for your upsells raises your bill even when your order count has not moved. This page prices both paths, and names the point where their bill steps and ours does not.
Monthly store orders or upsell revenue, whichever is higher
Every Upsell.com band is two numbers at once: a count of orders and a dollar figure of upsell revenue, set at the same value. The higher of the two decides what you pay. So $1,000 of upsell revenue on 300 orders bills at the 1,000 band, not the 500 one, and the app working well is what moves you up. The bands are also discrete rather than gradual, so crossing a cap is a step change in your bill, not a nudge. Their Growth plan runs out at 2,000 orders, after which Scale and Elite take over at flat prices.
Published bands
The 500, 1,000 and 2,000 bands were read off their own calculator, which computes them in the browser. A summary table on the same page also lists $399 and $799 as annual-only tiers, which does not reconcile with the $499 and $999 on the plan cards above it, so neither pair is treated as settled here. Free trial is 14 days.
Add-ons and fees
There is no percentage cut. The revenue exposure is in the band mechanic instead, which is less obvious and harder to forecast.
No separate platform or setup fee was published.
Shopify Plus only, and included in the plans rather than sold separately.
Total monthly cost by order volume
Against Growth at $99.99 flat. This is the path most merchants model, and it is the more forgiving of the two.
Growth caps at 2,000 orders and their calculator quotes nothing at 5,000, so the 5,000 row is their Scale tier, which covers up to 10,000 at one price.
Total monthly cost by upsell revenue
The path merchants miss. These rows hold your order count still and vary only the revenue the app generates, because the caps are dollar figures too. Read this as the price of the app succeeding.
A store on 300 orders a month that generates $2,000 of upsell revenue pays $149.99, the same as a store doing 2,000 orders. Growth stays $99.99 in both cases, and your upsell revenue is never capped or counted.
The bands are discrete, so this is a cliff rather than a crossover. Up to 1,000 orders or $1,000 of upsell revenue you pay $79.99 and Upsell.com is cheaper. Cross either number and you step to $149.99 in one move, while Growth stays $99.99. Past 2,000 their Growth plan ends and Scale is $499. Below 1,000 they are the cheaper app, plainly.
Where Upsell.com wins
Much cheaper for a small store
$4.99 at 50 orders and $39.99 at 500. If you are early and your upsell revenue is modest, nothing about flat pricing helps you and their bands cost a fraction of ours.

Upsell.com pricing, answered.
How much does Upsell.com cost per month?
Their bands are $4.99 up to 50 orders, $9.99 up to 100, $19.99 up to 200, $39.99 up to 500, $79.99 up to 1,000 and $149.99 up to 2,000. Above that, Scale is $499 up to 10,000 and Elite is $999 up to 20,000, with custom pricing beyond.
Does Upsell.com charge a commission on upsell revenue?
No, there is no percentage commission. But upsell revenue still drives your bill: every band cap is both an order count and a dollar figure of upsell revenue, and the higher of the two sets your price. The effect is similar to a commission at the point where you cross a cap, and it is harder to forecast because it steps rather than scaling smoothly.
What does Upsell.com pricing scale on?
Monthly store orders or upsell revenue, whichever is higher. $1,000 of upsell revenue on 300 orders bills at the 1,000 band. That means a strong month from the app raises what the app costs you.
When does Checkout Components work out cheaper than Upsell.com?
The moment you pass 1,000 orders or $1,000 of upsell revenue in a month. Their band steps from $79.99 to $149.99 while Growth stays $99.99 flat. Below 1,000 they are cheaper: $39.99 at 500 orders against our $99.99.
What happens when I outgrow their Growth plan?
Growth caps at 2,000 orders. Above that their Scale tier is $499 up to 10,000 and Elite is $999 up to 20,000. So the step from 2,000 to 2,001 orders is $149.99 to $499. Growth on Checkout Components is $99.99 at every one of those volumes.
Is Upsell.com the same as ReConvert?
Yes. The developer is listed as Upsell.com ex ReConvert. The thank-you-page and post-purchase strength on the product comes from its ReConvert history.
Every Upsell.com figure on this page was read from the sources below on the date shown, and none of it is estimated. Where they publish no price, this page says so instead of filling the gap. We re-check these quarterly, and vendors change pricing without notice: if you spot a figure that has moved, tell us and we will correct it.
We rebuild your funnels before you cancel anything.
Parity audit of your current setup, then a free rebuild of your funnels while Upsell.com keeps serving. Both apps run side by side on your own traffic for 2 weeks, and you sign a checklist before anything gets cancelled. Anything we have not matched, we build.
