UpsellPlus caps the revenue it earns you, then moves you up.
UpsellPlus charges fixed monthly tiers based on the upsell revenue its own offers generate, and each tier has a ceiling. Pass the ceiling and you are moved to the next tier automatically. This page sets out every published tier, what checkout upsells actually cost, and where their ladder stops.
Upsell revenue generated through UpsellPlus offers
Their price is set by how much revenue their own offers bring in, not by your order count. Their page is explicit that there is no percentage commission, and the caps do that job instead: each tier permits a monthly ceiling of upsell revenue, and exceeding it auto-upgrades you to the next tier. Order volume is irrelevant to your bill, which is why an order-based cost table would misrepresent them. One thing to know before you compare tiers: their cheapest paid plan does not include checkout upsells at all, so for a Shopify Plus merchant the entry point is the third tier up.
Published tiers
Checkout upsells and checkout customisation start on the Shopify Plus tier at $119, so Basic and Launch are not comparable to Checkout Components. Their own page contradicts itself on the Scale ceiling, showing $5,000 on the plan card and Unlimited in the comparison table lower down, so neither is treated as settled here. Free trial is 14 days.
Add-ons and fees
Available on Scale. Roughly two and a half times the price of the plan it attaches to.
Stated explicitly on their pricing page. The revenue caps do the same work as a commission, in steps rather than a percentage.
You are moved to the next tier rather than being billed an overage. A strong month sets your new baseline.
Total monthly cost by upsell revenue
Against Growth at $99.99 flat. Priced on upsell revenue, because that is what their bill scales on. Only checkout-capable tiers are compared, so Launch at $49 is excluded: it cannot do checkout upsells.
Add the managed service and Scale becomes $698 a month. Nothing above the $5,000 ceiling carries a published price, so those rows say so rather than guessing at one.
Their cheapest checkout-capable tier is $119, which is already above Growth at $99.99, so on the checkout surface Growth is cheaper at every published revenue level. The gap then widens: $199 at their $5,000 ceiling, and unpublished above it. Their Launch plan at $49 does undercut us, but it cannot run checkout upsells, so it is not the same product. If your upsell revenue is under $500 and you are happy without checkout upsells, their free Basic tier costs nothing at all.
Where UpsellPlus wins
A genuinely free tier
Basic costs nothing and allows one offer up to $500 of upsell revenue. If you want to test whether checkout upselling works for you at all, free beats every paid plan including ours.
No commission, and they say so plainly
Their pricing page states there is no percentage commission. Among revenue-priced tools that clarity is worth something, and their caps are published rather than buried.
A managed service if you want the work done for you
$499 a month on Scale, with strategy and multivariate testing run on your behalf. We do the parity audit and rebuild during a switch, but we do not run your programme month to month.
UpsellPlus pricing, answered.
How much does UpsellPlus cost per month?
Basic is free up to $500 of upsell revenue with one offer. Launch is $49 up to $500 but excludes checkout upsells. Their Shopify Plus tier is $119 up to $2,000 of upsell revenue, Scale is $199 up to $5,000, and Enterprise is on application. A managed service is a further $499 on Scale.
What does UpsellPlus pricing scale on?
The upsell revenue its own offers generate, not your order volume. Each tier has a monthly revenue ceiling, and exceeding it moves you up a tier automatically rather than charging an overage.
Does UpsellPlus take a commission?
No. Their pricing page states there is no percentage commission. The revenue caps produce a similar outcome in steps: the better their offers perform, the sooner you move up a tier.
Which UpsellPlus plan includes checkout upsells?
The Shopify Plus tier at $119/mo is the cheapest one that does. Basic and Launch cover product, cart, post-purchase and thank-you page but not checkout. That matters for a comparison: their $49 plan is not an alternative to a checkout tool.
Is Checkout Components cheaper than UpsellPlus?
For checkout upsells, yes at every published level. Their entry point for checkout is $119 against Growth at $99.99, and their Scale tier is $199 where we are still $99.99. Their free Basic tier is cheaper than anything we offer, but it is limited to one offer, $500 of upsell revenue and no checkout upsells.
What happens when I exceed an UpsellPlus revenue cap?
You are automatically upgraded to the next tier. Above their $5,000 ceiling nothing is published, so what you pay past that is a conversation rather than a price. On Checkout Components there are no revenue caps on any plan, so your upsell revenue is never the thing that sets your bill.
Every UpsellPlus figure on this page was read from the sources below on the date shown, and none of it is estimated. Where they publish no price, this page says so instead of filling the gap. We re-check these quarterly, and vendors change pricing without notice: if you spot a figure that has moved, tell us and we will correct it.
We rebuild your funnels before you cancel anything.
Parity audit of your current setup, then a free rebuild of your funnels while UpsellPlus keeps serving. Both apps run side by side on your own traffic for 2 weeks, and you sign a checklist before anything gets cancelled. Anything we have not matched, we build.
