New Feature: Showcase product cards on free shipping upsells
Free shipping upsells can now use the showcase card format, showing three larger product cards at a time instead of the compact list, with a new Squares card style to go with it.
What's new. Open a free shipping upsell and its appearance settings now include the same product card format picker the carousel upsell has. Keep Compact for the list you have today, or choose Showcase for a three-up grid of larger cards. Your progress bar stays above the grid either way, so the customer can still see how much further they have to go.
Paging through the grid. Showcase mode fits three products at a time and advances two at a time through the chevrons in the component header, so a customer always gets a fresh pair without losing their place. Because the window is fixed at three, the products per page and mobile scroll settings are hidden while showcase is selected.
A new card style. Alongside Default and Simple there is now Squares: a square product image with the title and price beneath it. Clicking the image opens the product details window, which is where the customer adds to cart. It is available anywhere showcase cards are, so your carousel and campaign upsells can use it too.
Single product lists. An upsell list set to show one product per page now presents as a carousel with chevrons in the header rather than pagination underneath, matching how free shipping upsells have always behaved at that setting.
Where it works. Showcase cards on free shipping upsells are available on the newer Checkout Upsell extension. If your component still sits in the deprecated Checkout Components block, move it across in the checkout editor first.
Existing setups. Compact is still the default and every free shipping upsell you already have keeps the layout it has today. No action is needed on your end.
