New Feature: Best sellers as a Nosto recommendation source

Nosto-powered upsells can now lead with your best sellers, either as the recommendation type itself or as the first thing Nosto tries before falling back to related products.

What's new. Open an upsell component sourcing products from Nosto, set Recommendations mode to Basic, and the setting that used to be called Relationship is now Recommendation type. Alongside Viewed together and Bought together there's a third option, Best sellers, which shows your store's most purchased products from the last 7 days.

If you're still on Legacy. Components left on the Legacy recommendations mode now have a Recommendation order setting with two choices. Viewed together first is what Legacy has always done: it suggests products customers viewed alongside the cart items, and only drops back to your best sellers when there's nothing to suggest. Best sellers first flips that around, leading with your most purchased products from the last 7 days and using viewed together as the fallback. If your Nosto upsell has been showing related products where you expected best sellers, this is the setting to change.

Plan availability. The Nosto integration is available on the Pro plan and above. The newer recommendation modes are still behind the New Nosto integration opt-in at Settings → Integrations → Nosto.

Existing setups. Every Nosto component keeps the recommendations it has today. Recommendation order defaults to Viewed together first, which is exactly what Legacy components already did, so nothing changes in your checkout until you pick something else.
